Are the kayak tours guided?
Yes, all kayak trips are fully led by experienced guides to ensure you safely navigate the spectacular waters of the Kerry Coastline.
What happens if the weather is bad for Kayaking and Boat Trips?
Because safety comes first, all sea kayaking and Boat trips are strictly subject to weather and tidal conditions. If conditions are unsafe, trips may be delayed or rescheduled.

The tours are operated in partnership with Sunfish Explorer Kayaking and Boat Tours. You have two options to book your slot:

What types of boat trips are available?
Parknasilla offers three distinct ways to experience Kenmare Bay from the water:
Sea Safari Boat Trip: A guided tour focused on exploring and discovering the wildlife, fascinating shoreline, and natural scenery that abounds in the bay.
RIB Excursion: An exhilarating, high-speed Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB) ride across the bay. A popular option includes a trip over to Kilmacalogue for a fresh bowl of mussels!
Private Boat Charter: A customizable option that allows you to rent a boat to explore the local waters and islands entirely at your own leisure.
Are the boat trips guided?
Yes. Just like the kayaking, all water activities are partnered with expert Sea Adventurer Noel Donnelly and his boat operator company, Sunfish Explorer. Tours are fully accompanied by expert guides who supervise safety protocols.
Is any special clothing provided for the kayaking and boat tours?
Yes. Parknasilla supplies all guests with essential safety equipment and exposure gear, including:

Yes for the Spa/Thermal Suite. For Curated Experiences such as HIIT Pilates, Yoga, Sound Baths, Archery, please contact our spa team in advance to pre-book.

Is the "Meet the Owls" experience free?
Yes, the "Meet the Owls" experience is completely free for all registered resort guests.
Come and meet our resident falconer, Andy, along with his spectacular owls and falcons. It is a fantastic, hands-on opportunity for guests of all ages to get up close to these majestic birds, learn how they live in the wild, and even don the falconer's glove to hold one yourself.
